President and CEO Hans Kessler founded CUSTOM SYSTEMS Company, Inc., in 1983. The company's first client was a trucking company that wanted to automate their daily dispatching and load management requirements. TRANS+© was developed as a result of this project. Soon after the first systems were developed, TRANS+© quickly gained acceptance among trucking companies across the nation. To this date TRANS+© is still in use, although no longer actively marketed.
In the late 1980s, CUSTOM SYSTEMS became involved in software systems consulting and custom application development for a local area law firm. Today CUSTOM SYSTEMS develops custom software solutions for several Fortune 100 companies as well as a variety of smaller manufacturing and service oriented businesses.
In the early 1990s CUSTOM SYSTEMS ventured into off-shore programming with a firm in Manila, Philippines. After some initial “getting used to” and adjusting CSC’s project management philosophy, a tight relationship has evolved with its off-shore partner. Many large projects have successfully been produced over time.
